TULF to unveil Chelvanayagam statue

The TULF will unveil a statue of S.J.V Chelvanayagam on April 26 at a function in Jaffna town to mark his memory said Jaffna Mayor Mrs. Sarojini Yogeswaran. There will be a public meeting the same day she said. The party has begun organising branches in some parts of the peninsula.

Party sources said that the TULF will shortly open an office in Chavakachcheri town where its interests are currently being looked after by an ex-member of the EROS.

Meanwhile, a party spokesman denied speculation in some quarters that the TULF leader Mr. M Sivasithamparam will be in Jaffna on April 26 to unveil the statue of S.J.V Chelvanayagam.
