Jaffna to be included in livestock development plan

A team of government officials Friday visited Jaffna to conduct a survey to include Jaffna district in the proposed National Livestock Development plan. The team attended a conference held at the district secretariat with the Government Agent Mr.S.Pathmanathan in the chair, sources said.

Divisional secretaries and Livestock Department Jaffna district officials also attended the conference.

The team comprised Dr.Susith and Dr.Kathiravetpillai, Director of the Livestock Ministry.

Later the team visited the Livestock Development Centre located in Thirunelveli, sources said.
