Explosion injures Mannar civilian

Unidentified assailants lobbed explosives, suspected to be dynamite, at the house of Mr.Ignatius, driver employed by the Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission (SLMM) in Mannar Thursday early morning around 12.30 a.m. located along Moor Street in Mannar town. Diluxan, son of Mr.Ignatius, was injured in the explosion. Sources said.

Diluxan was admitted to the Mannar district hospital, sources said.

Rear portion of the house was damaged.

Members of the SLMM in Mannar office visited the house and inspected the damage.
