Youth found dead in Vavuniya identified

The body of a youth shot dead and recovered by Vavuniya police with hands bound behind at Anna Nagar area in Poonthodam, Vavuniya Monday morning was identified by his mother Wednesday morning.

The victim was identified by his mother as Kandasamy Manoharan, 28, a resident of Olumadu, Mankulam.

Manoharan had come to Vavuniya looking for work, his mother said.

Unidentified armed men arriving in two cars shot dead Manoharan Sunday around 5:30 p.m, near Muthumari Amman Temple at Anna Nagar, according to Anna Nagar residents.
