Two youths injured in SLA vehicle accident in Jaffna

A Sri Lanka Army (SLA) military vehicle travelling at high speed along civilian populated area in Chunnaakam, Valikaamam, hit and seriously injured two youths along KKS Road Friday morning, sources in Jaffna said.

The injured youths, Diluxan, 22, from Maiyila'ni North Chunnaakam, and Vithusan, 13, have been admitted to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital.

Military vehicles travel at high speeds to avoid claymore mine attacks, and this has become a hazard to pedestrians and other civilian vehicles along many key roads in Jaffna, civil sources said.
