Tamil festival to be held in Manmunai

The Manmunai West Cultural Federation will hold the ‘Muthamil Vizha’ (Tamil festival) Tuesday at the assembly hall of the Kannankudah Maha Vidiyalayam in Batticaloa, sources said.

Mr. N. Sri Sankar, the divisional secretary of the Manmunai West division, will preside over the festival. The Chief Guest will be the Government Agent for the Batticaloa district, Mr. R. Monakurusamy.

The Liberation Tigers’ Batticaloa-Amparai district political head, Mr. E. Kousalyan and the head of the Arts and Culture division, Mr. S.P. Easwaranathan, will be special guests.

Additional government agent, Mr.S.Punyamoorthy, Deputy district secretary, Mrs. R. Ketheeswaran will be the guest of honor.

The Batticaloa district cultural officer, Mrs. K. Thangeswary, and Kalasuri Vettivel Vinayagamoorthy are invited guests.
