TECH district office opened in Trinco

The Trincomalee district office of The Economic Consultancy House (TECH), a Non-Governmental Non-Profit Sharing Organization registered with the Government of Sri Lanka, and a computer training center was opened Friday morning at No 16, Green Road, Trincomalee. TECH has its headquarters in A9 Road, Iranaimadu Junction in Killinochchi.

The Tamil Rehabilitation Organization Trincomalee Director Mr.Ceaser unveiled the name board of the TECH office and an associated computer training centre. Trincomalee district parliamentarian Mr.K.Thurairetnasingham declared open the TECH office building.

Trincomalee Zonal Director of Education Mr.K.Thilakaretnam declared open the computer-training centre and the Chairman of the Eastern Rehabilitation Organization (ERO) Mr.K.Sivapalan took the first class to newly enrolled students. Thereafter a meeting was held with Mr.P.Sathiaseelarajah in the chair.

Trincomalee district parliamentarian Mr.R.Sampanthan at the end of the meeting visited the newly opened TECH office and the computer-training centre and held discussion with the Economic Development Director Mr.S.Thilak.

Mr.S.Vijayadeva, a representative of the London T.R.Tec which is providing financial support to the establishment and operation of several computer training centers, and Mr.M.Sundaramoorthi, Director, TECH, Trincomalee District Chamber of Commerce and Industries Mr.K.Thurairajah and several leading citizens of Trincomalee participated in the event.

TECH promotes the socio- economic and technological development in the NorthEast through various micro-projects.
